ANNEX ALE PROJECT
Copywriting & Brand Story
Annex Ales — a new arrival on Calgary's exploding craft beer scene — asked me to write their company profile, plus bottle copy for two of their permanent brews. For their IPA, I drew from the beer's name "Metes & Bounds", which is a centuries-old method of describing property boundaries by detailing what you see as you walk the perimeter. For the North American bitter, "Bitter Division", I echoed the rebellious spirit of the craft beer community and the Annex Ales founders.
